I had always an affinity of this niche subroute of the internet. All beginning with Flamingo's or Albert from AlbertsStuff's videos on the myth community where he would simply play these games of which there were many hundreds—now thousands—and attempt to figure them out since all of them by nature are confusing and very indirect. The nature of all the games are to be some kind of horror game but with a more atmospheric and ambient approach, deep or perhaps shallow with lore, quite often unfinished. A select few of these games may very well stick in my head for decades to come, maybe just because of how young I was when first viewing, but I will attempt to persuade you that it has more to do with the games' merits. I will explain the lore I know of, and attempt reasons on why I hold these so close to my identity. I know in part I hold these games because many if not all are dead games with very niche or completely dead communities, and in the definition of identity you look for things unique and small in size to one day preach of the gift of those things to someone for whom you seek no understanding from. Which is what I'm doing now of course.
A big reason these communities are dead is because the guy running the biggest community turned out a danger to young ones, and so did the first myth game maker presented here: AloneTraveler.

AloneTraveler:

AloneTraveler had two main games being The Plains and The Districts. I don't remember any real lore at all but I always enjoyed the atmosphere of these places and I think about them often.

In The Districts there would be one of the headless statues that would turn red, make a loud noise, and glide at you and try to kill you if you got too close to it. To this day I have no idea what story was trying to be told here.

These two games have been such an inspiration for me in music making because of their atmosphere that makes me wish there was some ambient soundtrack to go along with it like The Little Miracles Orphanage myth.

There was also this very shiny ball you could move around and there's a spherical hole for it in the ground but it resides behind a steep mound and I never could get it over.

All The Plains had was was this one fire guarding spawn and another fire that killed you upon contact and laughed at you. I always loved this great bridge structure though.

There was another character in the lore named Selozar whcih many people shipped but possibly had his own lore and even his own game. Always loved the name.

Grocery Gang:

There is now only one game I remember that isn't private which is Make a Friend. As with the previous myth this one is long dead probably because of a pedo in the community, but maybe just a lack of drive who knows.

All the lore I know was there was this grocery store and it was a villainous grocery store big and spooky like, but I think I liked the characters more so than the games. 74j, Fiddlepat, Amazook, and others, just the names themselves I liked but I have no other actual reason for why this myth sticks in my brain so well. Unlike AloneTraveler this was a group of people who ran this myth although the frontman was Amazook and Fiddlepat just completely dissociated later on.

The shiny blue round guy is pretty cool though

Saint Abida Tribe:

Unlike the previous ones, this one at least has an active discord and plans for the future. Alike the previous ones, the people running the group endorsed a pedo and still haven't apologized for it now that they kicked the guy out or whatever. Originally this myth was only like two guys being SaintDasXII and Dr_Aldra (Dr standing for Diety Relativist not doctor) but then at least SaintDas retired and now some other guy revamped all the games and is up to who knows now.

SaintDasXII(Left) and Dr_Aldra(Right)

The lore unlike the previous ones is actually real! All starting I think with The Realm of The 9 Portals by Dr_Aldra which has now been revamped into a well made horror game:

More on that later. SaintDasXII's or the group's games since they both ran the group was Intermission, Warborn, and Heresy, also the only reason I know what the word heresy means. Intermission was a game between the other two games, Warborn was a game depicting an ancient looking city pillaged and burning that I don't remember the lore of. Heresy was a very expansive game of puzzles and escape rooms, beginning with (originally) requiring the phrase "Open the Gate." typed into the chat to get in, and many other codes required for the different levels you complete. I wish I could get my own screenshots of the game but as far I know it is far gone. The whole aesthetic of the game was so resonant I remember I had drawn many of the symbols and codes present in the game and wrote it on a piece of paper that I put into the back of my binder for all to see in I think 4th and 5th grade. And I did get some comment on it once if I was some sort of satanic weirdo. I am sure this paper is long gone unfortunately.

The last stage or level of Heresy was so difficult I never beat it and only the revamp is up on roblox now and they keep changing the codes so I haven't tried in many years.

The revamped Realm of The 9 Portals (RoT9P) game I was around for the creation and popularity of and so I have a lot of memories attatched to it. I remember watching the flamingo videos, beating the 2nd realm with randoms, and writing down the maps in the summer of 5th or 6th grade. And I never beat the 3rd realm because the guardian sentury was so hard and I had no friends to beat it with. But the 3rd realm is very beautiful.

With some lore of a fisherman that was bitten and turned into this thing

Jreaks:

This one is long long dead but was never problematic or big enough to be anyways. Jreaks, his pet Nash, and that giant pit. I even made a copycat game of this game I liked it so much.

The Little Miracles Orphanage:

Now this one is very interesting. Not only is it alive with an active discord, it's also not ran by problematic people! Hopefully. This one hasn't been around nearly as long as the other ones and I actually found this one on my own. It is also the game where I found Second Floor, the song I have reviewed on this website. And I definitely think the visuals help a lot with how the music makes me feel. Seriously, play it for yourself it's a very nice experience though there isn't much.
